General Information:
Our guiding day normally begins at 9.00 am where your guide (you will know who will be guiding you at the time you make your booking) will meet you at Rainbow Lodge or your alternative accommodation.

While being guided we provide all tackle, flies, leaders and other bits and pieces needed for the day, morning tea, gourmet lunch and afternoon tea. All drinks are provided including a range of soft drinks, bottled water, and premium beer and wine at lunch.

We are also able to provide wet weather clothing and warm coats, hats and gloves if the weather turns inclement.

We will return you to Rainbow Lodge or your accommodation when the fish stop biting or at a time you request, however we will usually have you back by 7.00 pm. Early starts or late finishes are possible when conditions are favourable or if you prefer, but as the best fishing is mainly between 11 am and 6 pm it is often best to have a relaxed start to the day.

When out on the water we urge you to ask ALL questions you may have be they big or small. Our aim is for you to learn as many tips, tricks and techniques as possible, so that you can repeat the experience when fishing on your own.

At Rainbow Lodge we have a selection of Tasmanian red and whites wines as well as Tasmanian premium beer which you may purchase; alternatively you are welcome to bring your own. We recommend that you bring your own spirits to Rainbow Lodge with you. We will have a 'stock' bottle of single malt whiskey on hand in any event.

What you should bring:
Guided fishing clients should bring a broad brim hat and either 15+ or 30+ sunscreen, as much warm clothing as required, a camera (our guides will take plenty of photos as well), any personal medication and anything else that may be required to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
